- Mailchimp drops the ban hammer on crypto companies. Victims included crypto wallet company Edge and newsletter publisher Decrypt. Let this serve as a not-so-friendly reminder to email marketers that while email itself is a decentralized protocol, using a centralized ESP (like Mailchimp) is not.
- Meta launches new Advantage+ automation tools. The update goes live today and promises to eliminate manual steps of ad creation and automate up 150 creative combos at once. Like all new automation features, we advise you proceed with caution.
- YouTube working to launch “channel store” through its main app as early as this fall. Right now, only YouTube TV subscribers (paying $64.99/mo) can add streaming services like HBO Max through the app. But the upcoming “channel store” will open it up to all YouTube users, in the hopes of making it a one-stop shop.

When the Deposit For a New Project Hits Your Bank Account
Avoiding bad clients is just as important as finding good ones.
So here’s a simple trick to filter them out:
Ask for a deposit up front.
It can be 25%, 50%, or even 100%.
Use your judgment, of course.
But the more established you are (and the bigger the project is), the more you should be asking for up front.
Because most people worth their salt don’t work for free.
And if a prospective client scoffs at the idea of putting down a deposit, that’s a sign you should move on to the next one.

2) Culture (will they fit in + influence others in the way YOU want?)
Friends may get top marks in the Culture category, but lack the skills and experience you’re looking for…
While outside hires may have the competence you need without being a culture fit.
Great hires should score high in both categories.

So take advantage of it.
In fact, you should probably build your page for mobile first, then adjust it for desktop.
